Levin Wastewater Pipeline Upgrade >>
An upgrade was required on a 7km length of wastewater pipeline in Levin, as well as the construction of a 4m deep wet well station.
KGA undertook as subsurface investigation including machine boreholes, hand auger boreholes and CPT tests which encountered loose to very dense sands and gravels, as well as organic, alluvial deposits. Design parameters were provided for the installation of the pipe and the construction of the wet well station. Health and safety was a key aspect of the job with traffic management plans being put in place for work along the main road and underground services located prior to drilling.
