BNZ Building, Kaiapoi
The Kaiapoi BNZ building was constructed in 1883 and has a Historic Place Category I registration. This heavy structure subsided by over 200mm as a result of the Canterbury Earthquake Sequence and remediation was necessary to return the structure to its previous condition.
KGA provided the geotechnical design works and construction review reports for the level correction works. We worked with Mainmark Ground Engineering (NZ) Ltd to reinstate the structure to pre-earthquake levels in integrity.
