Our History - A Legacy of excellence
In 1990, Keith Gallespie & Associates Limited (now KGA Geotechnical) was born from very humble and kiwi origins: a small office above a fish and chip shop in Takapuna. We quickly became well-known in the industry for providing practical specialist geotechnical engineering consultancy services to the wider Auckland area.
In 2012, our Christchurch-based office was primarily formed to provide support to the Christchurch community as part of the post-earthquake rebuild. We have maintained a strong and capable presence in the Christchurch and South Island areas to support ongoing development and continue to build on our local client relationships.
Our Team
Our valuable team boast an impressive variety of geotechnical expertise and global experience.
The team at KGA are an enthusiastic, diverse and dedicated group of geologists, engineering geologists and geotechnical engineers ranging from graduates to senior professionals with over 200 years of combined experience. Our team hails from New Zealand and all over the globe, including Asia, Europe and Africa. Our directors and core group of engineers have extensive experience at a senior level in other organisations both in New Zealand and overseas. Our extensive range of backgrounds and experience provides us with a broad knowledge base that enables us to provide you with optimal geotechnical solutions for any construction or development project.
Health and Safety
Health and safety is a priority and kept to a high standard as part of our culture. We possess a very low incident/injury record which aligns well with our attention and awareness to health and safety.
We consistently meet the SiteWise Gold (100%) status in annual assessments of our health and safety systems.
Our staff members are trained in Site Safe and First Aid programs.
